Sober October 2020

Guess who's back... back again!

We're only a few short weeks from Sober October!!!

Can you tell I'm excited? ;)

Other than the fact that it's bogus we're already headed into fall when it's still March (seriously, 2020... nothing but curveballs), I am so looking forward to Sober October.

If you're new around here or haven't heard of Joe Rogan's podcast the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), Sober October is exactly what it sounds like... a month of sobriety! Originally this started as an attempt on JRE to curb Bert Kreischer's drinking habit, but it's taken off as a movement among JRE fans and the original group alike.

This will be my third Sobes Octobes (as I like to call it), and this year I'm keeping it simple:

  • no alcohol, marijuana, or other mind-altering substances

  • consistent exercise and stretching

Last year I was gung ho and did RESTART (no sugar or processed food at all) in addition to lots of exercise and sobriety. It was challenging, and I felt awesome, but I'm scaling things back a little for 2020. There's something to having grace with yourself, you know? ❤️

That all being said, if anyone wants to do a fitness challenge, I'm totally open to ideas and some friendly competition >:)

I'll be posting tips and checking in on social media during the month, and I think it'd be really cool if you did so too! Tag me, DM me, or keep completely quiet and lurk on my page... whichever suits where you are ;)

Just don't sell yourself short -- I promise you're capable of so much more than you let yourself think.
